Using
the BW-3 Connector with New Style Interface:
|
The
BW-3 Connector provides the same features as the BW-1 in the New Style
Network Interface Box.
| 1) |
 |
|
Introduced
in early 1999, the "New Style" Network Interface
is a different design.
In
this photo, you will see that there is no patch cord that
brings the dial tone to the screws.
The
screw terminals are located under the small cover plate
on the right side of this photo.
|
|
| 2) |
 |
| To
facilitate a quick, positive connection, our Patent Pending
BW-3 works in this way:
The
White wire is the 4 conductor wire leading into the alarm
panel. The Red and Green wires supply dial tone to the
panel, and the dial tone is returned on the black and
yellow wires.
You
simply remove the small cover plate, plug in the BW-3,
and insert the alarm wire to the BW Connector's terminal
header which is clearly marked for Tip, Ring,(feed) and
T-1 and R-1, (return).
Loosen
the Red and Green screw terminals and insert the color
coded spade lugs under the screw terminals as shown.
Plugging
in the male plug provides dial tone to the alarm panel,
and the spade lugs return the seized dial tone back to
the house phones on the screw terminals.
| |
| 3) |
 |
| As you can
see , you never have to remove and splice or change any
of the connections on the screw terminals to properly connect
the Alarm system to the telephone line, obtaining line seizure.
Best of all, any future changes, additions, or deletions
to the wiring on the screw terminals will not affect your
connection in any way. |
|
| 4) |
 |
| Now that your phone line connection has been
made, close the box, and you're
done! | |
